Statewide Meeting: Supportive Housing Residents
As our world changes, our housing needs change too. Agencies, organizations, and residents across Illinois are working together to build a Housing Blueprint to ensure that we understand and can meet the housing needs of communities across our state both now and in the future.
The Blueprint’s Listening Tour provides the opportunity to meet and engage with residents statewide. IHDA and other partners working on the Blueprint will be hosting these meetings to discuss and listen to residents’ experiences, needs, and hopes surrounding housing in their community. These discussions will help to shape the goals and work of the Housing Blueprint in the years to come.
On Thursday, November 19, join IHDA and David Esposito of the Supportive Housing Providers Association (SHPA) for a statewide Blueprint Listening Tour surrounding supportive housing residents. We’ll introduce the Housing Blueprint planning process and speak with individuals living in supportive housing about their experiences, perspectives, and hopes for the future of housing in their community.
In order to ensure the safety of residents in light of COVID-19, we will provide an option for virtual attendance at all of our meetings. The option for in-person attendance will vary by meeting dependent on the needs of our hosts across the state.
